Q: What happens at Alumaflamingo?

A: We have fun! For five days/six nights, we camp together in warm, sunny New Smyrna Beach, Florida. We’re still working on the 2017 program at this time but you can expect a full and fun schedule!

To give you an idea, prior Alumaflamingo schedules included more than a dozen informative seminars and fun presentations, plus special events like a chili cookoff, Bluegrass Jam sessions, Golf Cart Mayhem, Happy Hours, door prize drawings, music, yoga, nightly entertainment, Open House, Dutch Oven cooking, Open Grill, campfire, and much more. Plus optional off-site tours of local sights and attractions. Expect 2017 to include a few of these favorites but it won’t be the same event!

Alumaflamingo is a great time for everyone—and a great chance to learn more about your Airstream and get ideas for future trips, while meeting people like yourself who love to travel.

 

Q: What does it cost?

A: Two Adults with a campsite for all 6 days of the event: $525. (Price Breakdown: Each adult is $115, Campsite is $295)

  • Additional Adults: $115 each, plus tax
  • Kids under age 15: FREE!

Please note: we have room for only 150 trailers, and it’s first-come, first-served!

Walk-ins
If you choose to stay off-site and just want to attend the events as a “walk-in,” your cost will be $115 per adult for the entire week.

 

Q: What do I get with my registration fee?

A:  Six nights of camping with electric and water, dump station and optional pump outs, access to seminars all week, a “goody bag” with discounts and information, live entertainment in the evenings, contests and activities, Swap Meet, daily door prize drawings and other surprises.

Plus, you can bring all the kids or grandkids (as long as they are all staying in your trailer) for free!

 

Q: Can I register by phone or mail?

A: Yes.   Call us at 813-200-8877 to register by phone.  Or, click here to download a paper registration form that you can mail in.

Q:  The camping area is full!  Can I still come?

A: Yes, absolutely.  You can buy a “walk-in” ticket and get all the perks, entertainment, prizes, and meals that camping attendees get.  For $115 per adult you will get credentials allowing you to attend all the workshops, seminars, entertainment, and meals. You’ll also be eligible for door prizes, and get the “swag bag” with coupons and goodies.  This ticket can be purchased on-site at the event or in advance.

 

Q: Can my friends come visit for free?

A: Yes!  Anyone can drop in and visit you, walk around to see the Airstreams, and shop at the vendors or at the new Airstream display.  No credentials or payment needed.

However, everyone who wants to attend seminars, eat the meals, watch the entertainment, or participate  in any organized activities must be registered and paid as a “walk in” attendee.

 

Q:  Can I bring my Airstream food trailer and sell on site?

A: Maybe! We’d like to have a few Airstream-based food trailers on site, but there are important limitations. You must have a Airstream (or vintage trailer) purpose-built for food service. You must comply with all applicable laws, health/safety codes, and permitting requirements as defined by the local authorities. Onsite hookups for food trucks are limited so we can only allow a maximum of five food service trailers.

There is no cost to food vendors who meet these criteria.  If you have an appropriate food trailer business, please contact us at info@randbevents.com for additional details.

 

Q: I don’t have an Airstream. Can I still come?

A: Yes!  This event is open to any brand of RV.  If you aspire to own an Airstream, come on over and check out the people and the product! You’ll learn everything you want to know about them.

Sorry, tents are not allowed.

 

Q: Will there be showers and bathrooms?

Yes. There are flush toilets and showers onsite.

 

Q: Will there be a pump-out?

A: A pump-out service will be available, at nominal extra cost.  The campground will provide that service on request.

 

Q: What utilities will I get on-site?  What should I bring?

A: Alumaflamingo offers 30/50-amp AC power, water connection, and access to a dump station.  Bring a portable holding tank if you want to dump your gray water at the dump station, or you can purchase a pump-out from the campground at any time

 

Q: I’m a vegetarian. Is there an alternative to the barbecue dinner available?

A: Yes. We always have a vegetarian option at the meals.

 

Q: Can I bring my pet, or have a fire?

A: Pets are welcome but should be on leash at all times. There is open space to run your dog nearby.  Dogs are not allowed inside the tents during meals, except Service animals.  Ground fires are prohibited.

 

Q: Can I buy that cool Alumaflamingo t-shirt?

A: Yes! When you register you’ll get the opportunity to buy official event t-shirts which will be delivered to you when you arrive.  If you register early you’ll get them for FREE.

During the event, there may be some leftover shirts available but sizes will be very limited and we don’t guarantee availability.  It’s best to order your shirts when you register.

 

Q: What’s the cancellation and refund policy?

A:  Cancellation Policy

Registrations to Alumaflamingo® which are canceled on or before January 1, 2017 will be charged a $25 cancellation fee per group (not per person).

Cancellations received January 1 through February 20, 2017 will be charged $75 per group.

There are no refunds for cancellations received after the event begins (February 21, 2017) for any reason. If you might have to cancel after February 20, 2017, please consider obtaining travel insurance.

Refunds will be made to the credit card or PayPal account that was originally used to make the payment, when possible. Otherwise refunds will be made by paper check mailed to the address on file.

Please note that t-shirts and other merchandise orders are not returnable or refundable. T-shirts not picked up at the event will be considered declined, and no refunds will be given.

Q: Where’s Alumaflamingo being held, exactly?

A: At Cacklebery Campground, 560 Tomoka Farms Road, New Smyrna Beach FL.  Maps and pre-event instructions will be sent to all registered attendees via email.

Q: What is the Alumaflamingo website privacy policy?

A:  We collect information that you provide, such as your name, address, email address, and phone number and payment information, during the process of registering you for an event.

We use RegOnline to handle your registration, provided by Lanyon Solutions Inc. RegOnline retains your information so that we can serve you. Our staff cannot see your credit card information. RegOnline has its own Privacy Policy at: http://www.lanyon.com/privacy-policy/

We do not share your personal information with third parties, except when you request us to enroll you in optional activities which require registration. Your email address and payment information are never shared with third parties.

If you opt in to receive our email newsletter, “Outside Interests,” any information you give us is kept confidential. Your email address will not be shared, sold, or rented to anyone. You may opt out of receiving “Outside Interests” at any time simply by clicking the Unsubscribe link provided with each newsletter.
